Occupational Rehabilitation
Work Conditioning:
Work Conditioning is a 20-visit, 4-week program designed for patients with injuries that have interfered with their ability to work. Typically these patients have continued problems with pain, endurance, and conditioning. These patients may or may not be on medications and have a positive outlook regarding their injury and recovery so that reintegration into the workforce is not a psychological challenge.
Work Conditioning advances return to work as defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles. This program is tailored for each individual to include cardiovascular training, resistive training, work simulation, and activities of daily living training. These patients are very motivated to return to a functional level and have an excellent predicted outcome for returning to their normal life pursuits following the program.
Work Hardening:
Work Hardening is an extensive 20-visit, 4-week program designed for patients with continued physical deficits combined with some degree of emotional or behavioral disorder following a severe injury that has inhibited their ability to return to gainful employment. In addition to physical rehabilitation and work simulation, the patient is provided with weekly individual and group psychological counseling under the direction of our team neuropsychologist.
Work Hardening advances return to work as defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles. This program is tailored for each individual to include cardiovascular training, resistive training, work simulation, activities of daily living training, general productivity, workplace safety, as well as interpersonal relationships in the workplace and with family.
